The “Titolare” strikes back

We are all rereading the updated italian version of the GDPR text, which should be voted in the coming weeks. Compared to the previous version I thought they would only eliminate the deletions and renumber the articles. I do see that they touched up the translation as well. Some changes are marginal but there is at least one very significant innovation: the terms “Data Controller” and “Data Processor” are now (again) translated into “Titolare” and “Responsabile”, as they are currently called in the italian national Privacy Law! Here is the link to the new translation:  http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/it/TXT/PDF/?uri=CONSIL:ST_5419_2016_INIT
I think it deserves an accurate reading. And that many of us will be forced to review their posts, slides, books and any other paper on this matter … Good work to everybody!
